 Glen Boles: My Mountain AlbumArt & Photography of the Canadian Rockies & Columbia Mountains by Glen Boles 155 high-quality b/w drawings and photographs Artist and photographer Glen Boles has climbed extensively all over North America and in Europe, but his first love is the Canadian Rockies, where he has summited over 450 peaks, often by a difficult new route. Many were first ascents. Over the years Glen has become familiar with all facets of climbing, from expedition climbing to mountain rescue. Boles' interest in photography and drawing has enriched his mountain experiences and made him well known throughout the North American climbing community. Although his work has appeared in many publications, this is the first book devoted totally to his black-and-white art. Glen Boles was born in St. Stephen, NB, in 1934. He moved to Calgary in 1953 and was introduced to mountaineering and skiing in 1957. He has since completed climbs on close to 600 peaks, mostly in the Canadian Rockies and the Columbia Mountains. Glen is an honorary member of the Calgary Mountain Club, the Alpine Club of Canada and the American Alpine Club. He is also the recipient of the Bill March "Summit of Excellence" Award.
