About the Author(s)

Ben Nearingburg grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, where he lived for many years and completed BSc and PhD degrees in engineering. Since 2017, he has lived in Jasper where he and his partner Katerina can often be found roaming ridges and traversing trails. Ben is a certified hiking guide and operates his own backpacking, guiding, and photography business (Starry Summit Mountain Adventures).
