OCTOBER, 2004 NEWSLETTER
| Peakfinder Updates
There are now hundreds of new photos on Peakfinder. Many are similar to previous photos but are of improved quality due to better lighting and snow conditions and a camera with additional capability. If you spend some time looking at the peaks seen from Highway #1 you will come across many of these. However there are now numerous photos of peaks that previously had no photo at all. A number of mountains in the Ottertail Range and Vermilion Range (BC) are now represented with photos. The website now has photos for 911 different peaks in the Canadian Rockies and a total of 1516 photos. There's a new slide show featuring the mountains of the Lakes Louise, Moraine, and O'Hara area. We'll be adding more slideshows in the near future. And finally a big thank you to Rob and Kathy Taerum for providing a number of excellent photos from their weeklong visit to Yoho National Park this summer. Have a look at their wonderful photo of Mount Huber.
